Top 10 things to give up for lent

Today marks the first day of lent.  Lent is a Christian tradition lasting for forty days and forty nights in which Christians fast, repent and pray.  This is the time to sacrifice something you normally depend on and give it up during this duration.  This year I decided to give up fried foods, red meat, and coffee.  These are things I eat and drink on a regular sadly, knowing it is not the best for my health. I am hoping during this forty day fast that I won’t miss it and can eventually make it a permanent lifestyle change.

Please note, this is a time to repent and pray as well, do not forget the significance behind lent and why as Christians we partake.
