The Age of TRX

In light of the New Year, I’ve decided to try a new workout method. And being its Wellness Wednesday, today is the perfect time to share with you all. If you haven’t heard of TRX, this is what it is, “the TRX Suspension Trainer is the original, best-in-class workout system that leverages gravity and your bodyweight to perform hundreds of exercises. You're in control of how much you want to challenge yourself on each exercise - because you can simply adjust your body position to add or decrease resistance.”

Today was day 2 of my TRX workouts, and I feel amazing!!! You can get a full body workout from this style of training. I train with a friend of mine who is male, but the workouts definitely are adjustable for females. Because there is no weight involved, you just adjust your body placement to add or take away some of the resistance. What else I like about this style is that you won’t bulk up. Most people think when lifting or doing workouts other than cardio, your body will get larger. With this workout, everything is based off body weight; therefore you will get lean and cut versus bulky and large. I do suggest that you continue cardio while doing this workout. I do 30-40min of cardio before I begin TRX just to get my muscles warm and loose and to continue with fat and calorie burning.

You can be a beginner or a veteran in the gym and either way TRX will challenge you! It’s all up to you on how difficult your workout will be. I am still in the building process and each day I challenge myself to do a little more than the day before. Get out there and try TRX, you won’t be disappointed and you’ll feel amazing afterward.

Get out there and put in work!

Peace & Love
