Different Ways to Surf Board

Is the bedroom aspect of your relationship boring? Do you want to spice up your relationship? Have you tried dancing for your mate?  If not, it is time to try something new.  Maybe it's time to get up on it and ride that surf board. Here are a few ways to set the mood and rocket it til it waterfalls:

  1. Set the atmosphere- light some candles and turn your lights down low, and if you’re really feeling frisky, replace that light bulb with a red bulb.  Yes, I said it. Turn on that red light special !
  2. Bra and Panty Check- time to pull out the Fredericks or Vicky Secrets, whichever you prefer and put on that little doll baby night gown.  Or if you’re really in the mood, just some lipstick. ;)
  3. 4 inch Heels- Yes, put on those high fly pumps! A man loves a woman in some heels. You better work
  4. Fresh Fruit- Grab some strawberries, chocolate or caramel sauce, and grapes. Play around with it. Feed your man, let him feed you, and lick it off
  5. Massage oils- Pamper him with a nice body massage. caress his arms, neck, back and where ever you choose. Tingle those areas that sparks nature
  6. Have Fun- Remember this is your night and you are enjoying the moment

Is being #2 actually better than #1?

being mary janeAccording to Mary Jane, YES!!!

If you watched Being Mary Jane this week you received a quick crash course on how being #2 is not so bad, in fact it’s actually better. *ques side chicks applause* The shade was real in this episode when Mary Jane gave a speech in front of her “wishing and hoping he was my man’s” wife.  If you missed the READ, here it is:

I’ve found that being number 2 gives you all the glory of being near the top without all the pressures of the number one spot. The job of any great number 2 is to figure out what the number 1 is missing. What they refuse to see and what they’re doing wrong. So take your time, learn, be patient, get better. You will get where you’re supposed to be if you do the work.  Remember, if you don’t, somebody else will. Read more

The Circle You Keep

the circle you keepAs a child my mother always told me to pay attention to my surroundings when I am out public.  That means pay attention when I cross the streets, look for exit signs if I’m in big arenas, take heed to the people around me if I’m in a crowded area.  The whole point is to pay attention to what’s around me.

As a grown woman this concept of paying attention to my surroundings has a deeper meaning.  It’s more than watching those around you; it’s about who I decide to stay around.  We all heard the old cliché’ “birds of a feather flock together.” I find that to be an accurate statement.  People tend to hang around those they can relate to, people that are on their same level, people that can understand them, and people that share the same interest.  People want to be around like minded individuals and with that come a story of who you are. As the old saying goes, “show me who you hang with I’ll show you who you are.”  Who you hang around with tells a juicy story about who you are.

We all have friends from childhood that are more like relatives. Those are people we consider “ride or dies” they were there before you had what you had and they will be there afterwards.  However, those should also be people that do not bring you down. They may not be on the same level as you and that’s okay, but they also should try to bring you off your level. Who you surround yourself with influences how high you rise. Read more

Workplace Love: Finding Mr. Right in a Co-Worker?

officeRomanceFinding love could all be so simple if we knew exactly where to find it.  Women typically go to bars, gyms, museums, coffee shops, even church in search of Mr. Right.  We are always on the plow searching for Mr. Right, yet we end up finding Mr. Wrong, Mr. Broke, Mr. Married, Mr. Ex Con, Mr. Drug Addict, Mr. Gay on the Low, Mr. Got Too Many Baby Mommas, ugh the list can go on and on. Where art thou Mr. Right?

Monday through Friday we are steadily anticipating for the weekend so we can go out and begin our hunt all over again in search of Mr. Right. But have you ever wondered, “what if Mr. Right was in the office next to you?” “What if Mr. Right shared the cubical across from you?” “What if Mr. Right was someone you’ve seen every day except Saturday and Sunday?” “What if Mr. Right is your co- worker?”

Love in the workplace could lead to awkward situations but on the flip side it could lead to spontaneous consistent fun.  Imagine going to work with your man every day, wouldn’t that be great? You never have to worry about the “baby, I’m working late” message because you know EXACTLY what’s going on. LOL. 30 Day Fitness Challenge

30daychallengeYou always hear you must exercise and eat healthier, but rarely do we even do it. We sign up for the gym, get a personal trainer, purchase DVD tapes, buy fabulous workout attire, and after day 5 of the routine we are ready to quit.  Whelp, basically I just described to you my life. Lol. I’m not ashamed. I know I have work to do. For starters, I learned I work better in groups. Choosing a gym that offers exercise classes work best for me. Secondly, I need a schedule and a routine. I hate going to the gym wandering aimlessly around the equipment without a plan is useless for me.

Knowing yourself is just half of the battle, once you recognized what works for you; next step is creating a schedule and routine.  Figure out your fitness goals and what areas of your body you wish to target.  Once you know what you want to do, finding the information to do it will come easier.  After that you are all set to go.

Now, like most people, we make excuses or as some people say, reasons. Either way, you aren’t getting it done.  I, like most people, always claim work is in the way and I do not have time. After realizing I was making this excuse I decided to do some web research to find a fitness routine that can accommodate my fitness goals and desires as well as my busy schedule. And, that’s when I found the 30 Day Fitness Challenge website. Read more
