Last night I watched the Real Housewives of Atlanta, and co-star Kandi introduced us to her newest single, Stayed Prayed Up. Now, if any of you that have followed Kandi’s career and the personal life that she shares, you are fully aware that she has had a child out of wedlock, has a sex toy line, and a sex/relationship web vlog, called Kandi Koated Nights. Since debuting her newest single, the critics have been out calling her a hypocrite and truly bashing her for her switch to gospel.
Now, I am not one to judge. I do not live a perfect life, and truthfully no one does. But the goal is to become better than we were yesterday. So, to all the critics out there bashing Kandi, they should really take a look in the mirror before they point any fingers. I think the song is good for her and to anyone that has ever been through trying dark times in life. It is her expressing her love for God and acknowledging she isn’t perfect but she’s trying. I think this is a realist song that many people can relate too because we all know life can be. Bravo Kandi.
Take a listen..
