This was one of the stories covered on Access Hollywood tonight. Although after looking up the article, I found out this was confirmed a couple months ago, it’s still a topic. Why have we become a generation of self-alternation and bogus looks?
There was once a time when you saw a woman with a big butt, or thin waist, or big breast and it was just that. There was never a question, if they were real or fake. We have become such a generation based around physical appearance that we resort to surgical or other alternations to give us the “perfect” body. There are plenty of natural things that you can do to alter your body naturally if unhappy. You can change you diet, add daily exercise to your life, or even clothing to help enhance certain assets.
Both men and women are to blame for this lack of confidence or satisfaction with what you are born with. Men expect so much from a woman, or see one woman with a certain characteristic and expect all women to be the same. Women are just so judgmental of each other and some feel the need to put others down to lift themselves up. So women strive to have “perfect” bodies to be desired by men and to be above other women.
With all the physical alterations women are doing to their bodies, I am so excited to see the new movement of natural hair! Women are finally embracing what they were given and working it, rather than covering or weaving their hair. Once we as a whole can be happy, confident, and proud of what we were born with, we will surely have power over all.
